The Rammellzee Evolution of the World Vinyl Record

12" Double-Disc Vinyl Record with Gatefold Jacket
$99.00

Limited pressing of 400

This exclusive 12on12 vinyl release brings The Rammellzee’s visionary world of Gothic Futurism to life through 12 of his tracks, seamlessly fused with his 1982 artwork Evolution of the World. A true multi-dimensional experience, the record also features an unreleased interview from the early 1980s with literary critic Sylvère Lotringer, offering rare insights into The Rammellzee’s radical theories of Ikonoklast Panzerism—where letters become armored symbols of resistance against institutional control.

On the vinyl's Sigma side, his voice echoes through time, expanding on his fusion of medieval aesthetics, Afrofuturism, and linguistic warfare.

Accompanying the vinyl is an exclusive A2 insert poster featuring extracts from his Ionic Treatise Gothic Futurism, a manifesto that shaped generations of artists, musicians, and theorists.

A convergence of sound, theory, and art, this release homages The Rammellzee’s legacy as a pioneering force in hip-hop and the avant-garde, where the battle for language and expression continues.

Only 400 records will ever be produced, so act quickly to secure this unique piece of history before they are all sold out.

The Artwork

Evolution of the World, 1982

The Rammellzee’s Evolution of the World (1982) embodies his "Gothic Futurism" philosophy, using graffiti to reclaim language from societal control. This intricate work depicts a chaotic transportation hub where graffiti tags clash with robotic forces, symbolizing the struggle between expressive freedom and mechanization.

Bold yellow lines, geometric shapes, and layered elements create movement and tension. The dark background contrasts with vivid pinks, purples, blues, and electric yellows, heightening its futuristic intensity. Interwoven mechanical and organic forms evoke an industrial, labyrinthine world, while golden circular dots suggest a cosmic dimension, as if depicting a high-speed, interstellar journey.

Blending urban graffiti with sci-fi and Afrofuturist aesthetics, the piece explores themes of technology, identity, and resistance. Evolution of the World becomes a visual manifesto, mapping a surreal, mechanical universe where art fights against imposed systems of control.

Edition #13

12on12 x The Rammellzee: Evolution of the World

12on12 partners with The Rammellzee Estate and Palais de Tokyo to honour The Rammellzee's revolutionary vision with a series of exclusive, limited-edition collectibles—a vinyl record, a limited print edition, and a capsule of apparel. Launching alongside his first major European museum exhibition, this collaboration is a living expression of The Rammellzee’s radical theories of Gothic Futurism and Ikonoklast Panzerism—where language, art, and hip-hop become tools of resistance.

At the core of The Rammellzee’s philosophy is the belief that language has been weaponised to control thought and that letters must be “armoured” to reclaim their power. Ikonoklast Panzerism transforms letters into war machines, battling systemic oppression through radical typography and futuristic symbolism, while Gothic Futurism extends this vision into sculptural suits, graffiti, and music.

This collaboration brings these theories to life—not just in concept, but in tangible form. Each piece, from the sonic experience of the vinyl to the wearable art of the apparel, embodies The Rammellzee’s philosophy, transforming his ideas into artifacts of rebellion. With every item produced in exclusive, small-scale drops, these are more than products—they are lasting collectibles, forever preserving the spirit of The Rammellzee’s insurgent creativity.
