When Henry Met

Ringo Starr

"One day my phone rang in Laurel Canyon and a voice asked if I could come to a rehearsal to photograph a group... It turned out to be Ringo and his first All-Starr band.

My first words to Ringo were "Do you mind if I get on stage while you rehearse, so I can get good pictures of everybody?," and he replied "I'm the drummer, you're the photographer, it's as simple as that!" which has defined our relationship for years!

He is truly a beacon of Peace and Love."
